Introduction

Ovet Shipping B.V., founded in 1971, is a joint venture between stevedoring company Ovet B.V. and ship broker Bulk Maritime Agencies (B.M.A.), located in Rotterdam and part of the Peterson Group.

Ovet Shipping B.V. is a shipping agency and logistic service provider in the broadest sense, mainly operating in the Western Scheldt area, but also via its network in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Ghent.

ISO-9001 certificate

On the 4th of September 1991 Ovet Shipping B.V. received (as the second shipping agent in the whole Benelux)  the ISO-9001 certificate. A professional staff, continuously trained, and  the “Quality Insurance System”, enables Ovet Shipping B.V. to  provide a high-quality service at all times.

Our main activity

The main activity of Ovet Shipping B.V. is acting as shipping agent in the ports of Terneuzen and Flushing. With specialization in dry bulk, like solid fuels, ores, scrap iron and fertilisers but also liqified gas and chemicals.

Furthermore...

Furthermore, Ovet Shipping B.V. is also acting as a booking agent for Jamaica Shipping Co. Ltd. This Jamaican shipping company operates a weekly service from Antwerp to Kingston and vice versa. The wide variety of different cargo, for example containers, pallets, cars, but also larger objects like trucks, cranes and cargo on project basis, makes that Ovet Shipping B.V. has build up a lot of knowledge as a liner agent.

One of the most recent developments at Ovet Shipping is a new started LCL-service from Terneuzen to the whole Caribbean.
