GMP

GMP Stands for Good Manufacturing Practice   The objective of GMP at OVET is to prevent substances that in time could be hazardous to people from entering the food chain via contaminated animal feed. GMP takes an integratede approach (from raw material to end product). The most recent regulations can be found on the Product Board Animal Feed site.

The core of the GMP measures is the identification of the risks of possible contamination during operations. Thereafter the way in which these risks can be reduced or avoided is considered. These precautions must be recorded in procedures. The procedures have the ultimate objective of making it possible to check and control the precautions, but are also used to increase awareness.

OVET B.V. was certified for GMP-B5 on 10 December 2006: this concerns the transhipment and storage of animal feed for agricultural animals.
