Your partner in the energy transition.
As a logistics service provider active in sectors with an impact on the environment and climate, we take our responsibility seriously. Many of our clients are taking steps toward a sustainable economy, and we move forward with them. We continuously improve our environmental performance and do everything we can to protect nature and the living environment in our operational area.
We invest in modern technologies to reduce our environmental impact. Our cranes and installations are equipped with energy-saving systems and features that reduce dust and noise emissions. In addition, our mobile equipment is increasingly powered by electricity – efficient and environmentally friendly.
In addition, we take targeted measures to prevent emissions and the spread of materials. We minimize drop heights, immediately clean up any spilled cargo, and cover dust-sensitive materials with paper pulp. Misting systems helping us effectively suppress dust.
Our terminals and mobile cranes are regularly inspected for safety, environmental compliance, technical condition, and security. We apply high standards and aim for a minimum score of 8. The findings are used immediately to implement improvements where needed – ensuring we continue to meet permit requirements, our own standards, and the expectations of our partners.

Always safe at work
For Marien Groen, Head of HSSEQ at OVET, every workday begins with a round of visits to team leaders and colleagues. ‘A quick catch-up, checking if there are any special issues.’ His focus lies on safety, health, environment, and quality.
‘Is the work being done in a healthy and safe manner? And are we staying within the rules and permits?’ These are the key questions. Safety is a fixed topic in work meetings, and mandatory training sessions cover instructions and policies. Through our intranet, we share information on safety, environmental matters, and relevant industry incidents – along with tips to prevent recurrence. ‘Sometimes it’s simply a wake-up call: think of early nightfall or applying the right environmental measures,’ says Marien.
Supervisors play a key role in ensuring policy compliance. ‘They need to communicate, collaborate, and above all: lead by example.’ The biggest challenge? The unexpected situations of everyday operations. ‘That’s when alertness, consultation, and decisive action really matter.'”
