Breakbulk en projectcargo

In addition to dry bulk, OVET also handles breakbulk and project cargo flows.
Think of goods such as steel coils, containers, big bags, pipes, and sheet materials. This is precision work, where our qualified personnel and machinery must work closely together to handle these goods both efficiently and at the required pace.

It demands excellent coordination and communication between OVET staff, the customer, and the vessel. We have the expertise to provide this tailor-made service effectively for a wide range of goods.

We also offer storage for goods and have excellent capabilities for direct transshipment between seagoing vessels and inland barges, and vice versa.

An example: A seagoing vessel carrying a load of steel coils destined for Liège cannot reach its final destination due to its size. Transshipment from the seagoing vessel to an inland barge via our terminal in Vlissingen or Terneuzen offers you, as the customer, the ideal solution.

Transport

With its two port terminals, OVET plays a key role in the logistics chain for transporting goods from A to B. We fully understand the challenges your supply chain may present.

In addition to terminal services, we can further relieve you by organizing and/or coordinating pre- and onward transport on your behalf.

This applies to modes of transport such as maritime shipping, rail, and road transport. We work closely with professional transport partners to make this possible.

Port Agency

Ovet Shipping is connected to the OVET Holding group and provides port agency services in the Western Scheldt area. As our sister company, we maintain close contact with them.

Measurement and weighing services

OVET provides services related to determining the weight of barges, coasters, and seagoing vessels.
Barges are typically measured by our own well-trained staff, while for seagoing vessels, this is carried out in close cooperation with a specialized partner.
